You Have Some Shemshoit Going On

I don't know why you haven't sent the Pesters to - as you like to say - "sort 'em out a bit."

We like reading your propagan... No, hang on, you have another name for it. I'll get it in a minute... Ah yes! You call it "news." Very quaint. One day you'll realise that all communication is at heart propaganda, a way to influence.

But even us Zorgans have limits. If you're wanting to change people's eating habits then you have to have some credible information (hang on, Pester Zorgan the 2,312th has something, here it is:) - studies, done by Science Pesters, with reports and peer reviews and stuff apparently - to back it up. I like your The New Daily but sometimes there are reports that aren't so excellent as the rest of the publication, and that hide the best bits under the clacker as it were.

This one is a bit like that. It leads off with a study that they don't source themselves, but instead quote another news site (on a College's News pages but that's not a study paper) and then offer ONE actually sourced study but right away mention another report that says that this one verifiable source they have, was not done right. The article therefore has no credibility to a Zorgan Pirate such as myself, and I think you should read it as such too.

So: these cucumbers write an article to try and convince you to eat only plants. This is an admirable thing, I have to agree. Eating animals is great for concentrated nutrition, and was really necessary for your predecessors to get where they are. Start listening to the animals instead of eating them. As part of the planetary ecosystem that you hominids are only a small percentage of, those animals and many plants have important stuff to say about the health of the ecosystem, lemme tell you. 

But anyhow, now you have the tools for improving your nutrition by orders of magnitude, and not having to use animals at all, and only some plentiful low order plants. How so, you ask me? What am I, a bloody Oracle? Here's a Clue, what I spelled with a capital C to make you realise it's important:

You are getting close to having cheap - and plentiful! - energy as I write this. You are getting your - as you say - "knickers in a twist" over AI on computers because they can do narrowly-scoped jobs better and more consistently than any hominid Earthling. 

They can work out chemical formulae better and faster, design machinery better and faster, and document as they go better and faster. All AI needs is a source of energy, some restrictive directions, and it can start to solve all of your problems, create whatever's needed for solutions, and operate those solutions - faster and better than people. You need to stop "developing" them into better and better porn machines and start asking them to analyse what's going on in your world. 

Never mind making better and better AI to write perve fiction for you and illustrate it. Screw making it better, think about USING it to solve problems right here and now! Zorgan's Cucumber, you can be so dumb sometimes!
